What is a treatment like?

A detailed health history is always obtained from the client on his / her first appointment. An assessment is made thereof and a unique treatment plan is designed for that individual client’s needs.

The treatment is deeply relaxing. We don't realise how much tension builds up in the muscles of our face – tensions which may permeate the entire body, as we use our face hundreds of times a day to laugh, eat, talk, frown, express and suppress emotion: all these movements result in an accumulation of facial and body tension that the deep strokes of facial reflexology aid in dissipating over a course of treatment with the aim of achieving a corresponding improvement in an overall sense of well-being.

Every session commences with the stimulation of facial acupuncture points to enervate the nerves, lymphatic and blood circulation of the face. We then proceed with a series of different treatment procedures on face maps, which are tailored to your needs. These, according to ancient tradition, represent your twelve major Chinese energy meridians, your physical and psychological aspects. Through these maps, the brain, energetic and nerve system is accessed by touching the skin and the re-balancing process may be initiated. Cranial lines and points are also used where appropriate.

A treatment normally last from 45 to 50 minutes. The therapy is appropriate for clients of all ages including children and those with a disability. Tangible results may be experienced quite quickly and the benefits potentially continue for some days, which is why a course of treatment is always advised, as with all complementary therapy work.

As Natural as Nature can be
The face reflexologist's only tools are the fingers, using an oil or cream to achieve contact with the deeper dermis layer of the face maps. We use pure Rose Mosqueta oil (Rose Hip) from South America.
